CAMPAIGN STATUS: ACTIVE

The Kettle Friendship Society is dedicated to providing housing, employment, advocacy and support services to Vancouver’s mental health population. For 35 years, the Kettle Friendship Society has raised awareness of mental health issues, broken down stigmas and barriers for people with mental illness, and promoted the inclusion of people living with mental illness in all aspects of society. The organization has provided thousands of Vancouverites with dozens of services, including a mental health drop-in, a transition house for women and over 200 units of supported housing. CAMPAIGN STATUS: COMPLETE

The Door Is Open, operated by the Archdiocese of Vancouver, is a drop-in ministry that provides food, clothing, counselling, and shelter services and referrals. It is a warm and safe environment located in the heart of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, a neighborhood recognized for the highest concentration of the poorest urban population in the whole of Canada. The Community Of Hope is a Vancouver based drop-in providing local outreach programs for the past 20 years. Founded by Pastor Yong Kim, the drop-in offers free lunches daily from Tuesday to Saturday as well as other community programs. Click here for more information on COH’s impact in the community.

Connect Clubs are extensions of our organization that operate from high schools and universities in the lower mainland. Connect Clubs create events and other initiatives whose proceeds go directly to the Connect Vancouver Foundation. For many, these clubs often provide their first exposure to community issues and non-profit work.


STREET MESSAGING SYSTEM
